Club Tidy Up Day In a welcome break in the recent wet weather, over 35 volunteers turned out to help with the club's Tidy-Up Day on Saturday March 27th . Under the general direction of Ian Henning, Clubhouse Officer; Roger & Angela Hume, Clubhouse Managers; and Glenn Honey our buildings adviser, a wide range of tasks was successfully completed which left the beach area, the car park, dinghy park and the clubhouse looking smarter than for some time. All members will appreciate the concerted efforts of those who gave up their day for the common good. An innovation this year, was the charity Jumble Sale organised by Stewart Whitelock. A surprisingly large amount of unwanted equipment appeared and at the end of the day £253 was raised for the children's sailing charity, "HORIZONS" together with an unknown sum deposited in the sealed collection bucket. One club member also donated another £106 as his share of the sales to the RNLI, so there was a very positive outcome to the day.
