Tomahawk 25

She may be getting on a bit but she still knows how to move. With a relatively new, 10hp Beta diesel engine under 200 hours of use, 4/5 berths, separate heads, she is available on swing mooring on the river Tamar.

Like any any mature lady she would appreciate some cosmetic work and tlc, but is ready to go, antifouled and with a chart plotter installed, Vhf radio , auto helm, roller furling genoa and additional sails including cruising chute and spinnacker, and a Seago life raft in a valise never opened, purchased in 2010.

A boat with a good sailing reputation and built at a time when GRP hulls were over engineered. She is fun to sail and still looks good, and has many years left in her. All the usual stuff included – bulkhead compass, fenders, 2 anchors etc.

Wanted

Crew Wanted in 2018 to sail a Hunter Horizon 27

Up till last season I was based in Chichester mainly day sailing around the IOW area, but after 10 years I needed some variety so last May, I sailed around to the Tamar and based myself at Weir Quay across the water from you.

So last season was sailing between Salcombe and Falmouth - crew was mainly friends and relations, but it is a long way from Chichester and my list of available crew is diminishing fast, and though I could sail alone, I much prefer to have some company.

This summer I will be retiring and am looking forward to doing more sailing in the “Plymouth area” and if possible moving on around the coast to Pembroke by the end of the season. (Longer term I’d like to slowly circumnavigate Britain)

If you may be interested in crewing on a Hunter Horizon 27, please contact Julian Swarbrick on 07771 667807 or email julian.swarbrick@gmail.com
